This outing includes the round of Lake Bret just after Puidoux towards Forel. It will take one hour of actual walking to complete the loop. But we should count on 1.5h or 2h with the stops, the pauses for taking photos, waiting for the children … As the walk is not too long, we propose for those who are interested a prolongation of 45 minutes for a loop in the nearby forest. In case of good weather, we will have the opportunity to extend the outing until sunset and to spend some time around the fire. In that case, please bring the food for the grill.
It is an easy walk accessible to all. However, consider a swampy area at the eastern side of the lake! So equip yourself of course with a good shoes. Take with you a jumper or jacket for the evening (autumn freshness). As usual, we’ll have a privilege to be guided by Denis Desvoignes. The event is organized by the French church, and we are happy to join them.
In case of good weather, we will leave directly after the worship (12:15PM) to eat our picnic (everyone brings his or her own lunch; it may be a good idea to bring some extra food to share) at the lakeside. In case of light rain, we will still go for the outing but we will eat at the church (Avenue du 14eme avril 26, 1020 Renens) at 12:15PM; in that case, the departure is planned at 1PM from the church. In case of heavy showers the outing will be canceled. Let’s wish a sun and why not a pretty autumn scenery to contemplate! May the Lord lead everything for this outing!
