Vallée de L’Intyamon is situated between Bulle and Château d’Oex. We will walk on the path Montbovon -> Albeuve -> Montbovon. This itinerary is called The Lords of the Middle Ages, and it allows us to discover several landscapes and different historical sites. We will use the path that follows the north side of the Lake of Montbovon and with the possibility to cross a historical bridge. The walk is considered easy and sometimes is in the shadow and in the refreshment of the water streams. We will have the possibility all along the way to drink water of fountains, and smell flowers. This itinerary is exposed to the Sun and the summer heat because of its southern orientation. The altitude is low. The walk will take 3.5 hours.
This walk is children-friendly. There will be a car in Albeuve ready to pick the kids up, if they get tired. It takes approximately 2 hours of continuous walk to reach from Montbovon to Albeuve.
We will depart from Avenue du 14-Avril 26, 1020 Renens at 1PM. You are welcome to join! And if you don’t have a car/transportation, please contact us and we will be happy to assist you in finding some. The starting point of the walk is Route de Village, Montbovon (across a cheese house).
Practicalities. In case of rain I’ll advice to take an umbrella and a rain coat. In case of sun, take a hat or a cap and sunscreen. A backpack is indicated for this hiking, a backpack with biscuits, dried fruits or fresh fruits and drink (the best is water).
